John standing next to PzI. This is probably the model B, with the slightly longer chassis from the Model A, although no mufflers are visible on the back deck in this photo. Originally designed as a training tank, the PzI was used in the front line from Poland to Russia and down in North Africa, eventually being withdrawn from front line service by 1943.
