Tim Saunders for Leo Cooper
These battlefield-guides-cum-histories are very good value indeed. In this case the subject is the battles for Hill 112 in Operation Jupiter in which the 43rd Wessex Division tried to clear the hill from a mixture of SS units at the end of what was called the Scottish Corridor. Good photos, excellent maps and orders of battle allow one to follow the action. The text is mostly descriptive using eye-witness accounts where possible. I found the small size of the battle meant one could learn a lot more about how the larger affairs were fought. Recommended.
