Lord Carver for Sidgewick & Jackson.
This provides a useful comparison to Ellis' book. Carver has, essentially, gone through a bundle of old letters and memoirs and extracted some good stuff. In between these he has a simple history of the campaign on a divisional level. There is very little analysis or criticism. This is not really military history. The memoirs are, however, a good read.
