Alexis Wrangel for Leo Cooper
This is an account of some notable Russian cavalry actions in the Great War by the son of the White commander. Lots of titled officers, talk of steeple chasing and swords glittering in the sunlight. Its values are those of the cavalier but the author does not forget the machine-gun. In parts it reads like a game of ASL and will appeal to much the same audience.
