GHQ Normandy Terrain

Booklet

by Bill Rutherford

This is a "How To... " booklet for gamers who use GHQ'sTerrain Maker" (TM) system. Written by the staff of GHQ, Minneapolis, MN, it has 32 pages with b&w and color photos and illustrations for $12.95. Fifteen pages of instructions cover the manufacture of basic European terrain, including bocage hedgerows, trees, and crops. Much of what is covered appears in the instructions included with each pack of TM hexagons, but the treatment here is considerably more detailed, with extensive photo coverage showing all steps of construction.

Presentation is clear and to the point. Several pages of background notes give a basic picture of fighting conditions in Normandy in 1944. This prepares the gamer for what completes Normandy -- eight scenarios designed for use with Came Designers' Workshop's popular Command Decision miniatures rules. These include scenario narratives, orders of battle (at 1/3 strength), and four hex maps of TM scenery. For the price of two and a half packs of micro armor, you get a lot of information, well presented. I recommend it.
