Two Dragons

15mm Sikh and Indian Wars

by Jim Birdseye

Two Dragons Productions, 70 Luck Lane, Marsh, Huddersfield, W. Yorks., HD1 4QX (mail order only). Two Dragons hasjust released a new range of troops of the British Empire pre and post 1800. Perhaps only an Anglophile would care about the British Empire in 1800 but these figures will appeal to everyone who enjoys the exotic locations of the East and a struggle for Empire as important as that in Russia. The European element in these wars was critical to the future of India. Figures include tribesmen, native reguairs, Maharattaq, Punjabies, Mysoreis, plus East India Company troops, British Guards, Line and Flank Companies. These British figures are in tropical dress and headgear. Packs of ten figures run £ 1.00 and packs of five run 65p, five horses cost 75p. This area can offer an interesting campaign which requires relatively small numbers of troops. The figures are well detailed and well animated but a little short in the leg. I can recommend these native troops forthose ofyou looking for troops for the Sikh Wars of the 1820s.
