The Armory Model Shop, 83 Meadow Lane, Leeds LS11 5DW, UK (not to be confused with The Armory of Baltimore MID) is marketing a new material for terraining figure bases. It comes in five colros: Grass Green, Dried Earth, Dark Brown, Sand, and White (snow?). The material is very thick and heavily textured paint that spreads with a heavy brush or small spatula and when dried gives the appearance of earth, or grass or sand, etc. No longer will one have to use white glue and sponge grass with all the mess that entails. The result has to be seen to be believed. Dry brushing with lighter or darker colors after it has dried enhances the effect. it can be used to texture buildings as well. Called BASETEX, a 60ml jar goes for 0.20 plus 15% for postage. it would be best to send Pound Sterling checks as this is a small operation. Recommended. More Reviews
