review by Bill Rutherford
Hot Wire Foam Factory the manufactureres of the hot wire foam cutter reviewed in the last issue has a new product for coating hills and foam terrain to give them a more realistic feel and appearance. Mixed with water and applied with a brush or spatula, it can be sculpted to give your hills more character and roughness. It comes in a smooth and rough texture. Using cement as a base rather than plaster, it is permanent and will stand up to rough handling. I haven't tried this yet, but it proabbaly could be used to terrain troop bases as well. As it is water based, water based paint can probably be used to pre-tint it in a base color so that any dings won't be noticeable. $8.95 for 2 pounds from Hot Wire Foam Factory . More Reviewing Stand
