Bull Dancer
25mm Minoan Mycenean

Figures

A new line of 25mm Minoan/Mycenean figures sculpted by Geoffrey Valley are available from Bull Dancer Miniatures. Recently received were a spearman with shield ($1.20) and archer ($1.00). These figures are exactly 25mm in height (Barrett Measurement), and are on the slim side, well-muscled and excellently sculpted. Both have finely done head-pieces and the facial sculpting is very nicely done. The archer has just fired his arrow and is garbed in a loin-cloth, bare-foot and in a relaxed skirmishing position.

The spearman has a separately cast shield, wears a sword and is also clothed in a loin-cloth. The very highly recommended figures would do well for any of the Trojan War period armies which are becoming more popular. Available from Barry Lee at 4132-12th Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN 55407-3242.

* The Courier uses the Tobey Barrett Measurement [BM] System to simplify comparison of figure sizes. The number is the height in millimeters from the bottom of the figure's foot (top of base) to its eyes. The letter refers to the "heft" of the figure: L=light, M=medium, and H=heavy. Thus, Hs will fit in with other Hs and some Ms, but not Ls.
