This range is cut from the large 25mm bolt of cloth as Connois seur and Old Glory. I like this scale and I also like this range. The most beautiful (and unplayable) game at HISTORICON featured this scale and well painted, it is a sight to behold. These figures are big, measuring 27H (Barrett measure). and have the realistic lean look found in historical soldiers if not always in reenactors. (remember 'Santa Claus' capturing the spy in the movie, GETTYSBURG?) The poses range from the expected through the bizarre. There are two officers, one marching with saber on shoulder, the other with pistol at shoulder cock that are very nice. The marcher wears his kepi at a rakish angle while the wind blows his coatee. The shooter gives off an air of resoluteness that is almost palpable. All the dismounted cavalry are good as well. There is a fine southern "Beau Sabeur" firing his pistol in a modified Weaver stance that would do justice to any combat pistol enthusiast. A reloading trooper is also very nice. The detail is good and a little over stated for ease of painting. Undercuts are also pronounced, and while there is some flash, it is easily removed. This range is very good. On the KOCH MUST HAVE scale they rate a nine. Available from BICORNE MINIATURES, 4761 Bear Canyon, Tucson, AZ 85749 * The Courier uses the Tobey Barrett Measurement [BM] System to simplify comparison of figure sizes. The number is the height in millimeters from the bottom of the figure's foot (top of base) to its eyes. The letter refers to the "heft" of the figure: L=light, M=medium, and H=heavy. Thus, Hs will fit in with other Hs and some Ms, but not Ls.
