WWII Battlezones, published by Tabletop Games is a book of WWII miniatures scenarios. It contains 21 historical scenarios and another 12 hypothetical scenarios, all detailed to a high level. Three of the former are set in North Africa, including, of course, Beda Fomm. The vast majority of the scenarios are set in late war Europe; only three are set on the Eastern Front (three different years ... ). The fictional scenarios are more varied, ranging from Belgium 1940 to Finland 1944. All the scenarios contain full OB's, multiple maps, and extensive notes. They read clearly and concisely. The scenarios are not all armor oriented, a pleasant surprise. To be sure, there's a bit of armor in almost all of them, but many are centered around infantry fights. The orders of baffle are 1:1 and some are quite hefty (e.g. battalion/regiment level). The author suggests using 1/200 or 1/300 scale models - in scenarios of this sie, it's probably a good idea. WWII Battlezones is worthwhile. It provides a speedy way to get your troops into battle, and provides the bases for some good games as well! More Reviews
