Words of Wisdom: The most crying need this "hobby" has is to improve its image with, and accessibility by, the general public. Not that anyone would seriously propose there should be "a wargame in every pot". However, I fear that we too often are seen as a paramilitary MENSA: "war" is anti-social, "games" are trivial, complexity confuses people, and our euphemisms (i.e., "simulations") are transparent. That the public perception is wrong makes it no less real. There is no easy, cheap, or quick solution, but better researched games and less emphasis on "Nazis, nukes, and NATO" would help.
Favorite Game of Own Design: Battle of Moscow
Favorite Game of Another's Design: Alesia (now Avalon Hill's Caesar)
Design/Development Credits: Design: Anzio; Anzio Beachhead; Battle of Moscow; Pursuit of the Goeben; Red Star/White Eagle
