Words of Wisdom: Games should be fun to play. "Simulation" is just a fancy word for a complicated game. If a designer wants respect for his research, then he should print a bibliography. If a designer wants respect for his design techniques, then he should outline how he evaluated units, terrain, etc. since even the most "scientific" approach to game design involves subjective reasoning. Every game can benefit by more detailed designer's notes. Also, the designers should not get all the credit. More recognition is due the other people who make a game complete: researchers, developers, graphic artists, and playtesters,
