Words of Wisdom: Designing games could be more difficult than authoring a book. With game design there are only a limited number of large publishing firms with no standard procedure. Consequently the freelance game designer could probably not earn a living and his/her creativity would be smothered in favor of the company philosophy. The only answer is to design, develop, produce, and print the games yourself. With proper ingenuity including low-cost night school courses in graphic arts and printing, you can publish your own games and make it pay. And you don't need as much money as you think. It is more a matter of time.
Favorite Game of Own Design: The Hammer of Thor
Favorite Game of Another's Design: Stalingrad
Design/Development Credits: Road to Richmond; Fredericksburg; Objective: Moscow; Operation Typhoon; Kiev; The Hammer of Thor; Development/Graphics/Production: The Hammer of Thor.
