Game Designers' Census

Richard H. Berg

Current Employment: private law practice; own firm
Previous Gaming Employment: SPI (now freelance)
Words of Wisdom:

1. I believe in Perceived Reality: i.e., what is true versus what the gamer thinks is true. (The two are usually the same, but they are oftentimes divergent.)

2. I believe that the player of a game should be able to immerse himself in a period/era, not simply push counters around to win.

3. I am basically a systems man.
