George Nafziger, whose writings regularly appear in THE COURIER, is offering another of his organizational studies, this time devoted to Napoleon's stalwart ally, Wurttemberg. Soft cover, staple bound, the book contains chapters devoted to the infantry, cavalry and artillery; Inhabers and commanding officers; tactical organization; artillery equipment; and uniforms. Readers familiar with Nafziger's previous published works know what to expect; a wealth of detail that allows one to trace a unit's organizational history during the course of the Napoleonic Wars. For example, one lears that Wurttemberg sent a mercenary regiment to the Cape Colony in 1786 and that this regiment included an artillery company with 8 lance corporals, 24 gunners, 24 assistant gunners, 1 sapper, 4 drummers, and 100 soldiers. One expects to receive meticulous lists and much data from this author's organizational studies, and in The Wurttemberg Army this is exactly what is delivered. in addition, five of the 59 pages provide uniform data. At $7.95, the book is available from: George Nafziger, 8801 Tammy Drive, West Chester, OH 45069.
