There has been a proliferation of pirate figures of late and foremost among them is Guernsey Foundry's line. The figures, which are highly animated, as we have come to expect from The Foundry, measure 27M on the Barrett Scale. Besides the abouve they have personality figures such as Morgan the first release includes: Cut1 Teach & his pals; Cut 5 Treasure Island; Cut 8 Swashbucklers One; Cut 12 Wild Pirate Musketmen One; Cut 13 Wily Pirate Musketmen Two and Cut22, Bizarre Weapons! These can all be bought as the John Silver Deal for $68 and will then include free (otherwise unavailable) a 2-man assault cannon team. Individual packages (cuts) are available for $11. The Courier uses the Tobey Barrett Measurements System (BM) to simplify the comparison of figure sizes one to another. Briefly the number is the height in Millimeters from the bottom of the figure's foot (top of the base) to it's eye. The letter refers to the "heft" of the figure: L = Light; M = Medium;; and H = Heavy. H will fit well with other H and somewhat with M but not at all with L even in the same scale. thus a 27 M is a larger 25mm figure of Medium Heft.
