15mm and 25mm Flags

Signifer

by Jim Birdseye

What you get for your money is the good part. Signifer took full advantage of the advances in color reproduction when they made these flags. The colors are crisp and the printing is clearly legible. The flags are accurate in detail and size. Each pack includes instructions for using the glue back paper. I prefer the glue back to the peel and stick type because it is more forgiving. (reality: I usually screw up the others when I stick them together incorrectly.) I received 25mm 7YW Austrian flags (SYW 2560). These are not identified by regiment and that might cause some problem, perhaps the Signifer boys could label them in the catalog. There were three Austrian (German) and one Hungarian in the pack.

I also received several Napoleonic Flags: SNF 2511 Flags of Italian Infantry 1809-1813 (four flags); SNF 2513 Polish Infantry II (four flags); and in the 15mm line SNF 213 Hanover Infantry (six flags). The Hanover pack includes two infantry flags one for Calenberg, one for Gifhorn, one for Hoya, and the Keielmansegge Jager Corps. All of these flags are highly detailed and really beautiful. The Italian flags are equally impressive although they all appear to be the same. Attention has been paid to the part of the flag that will cover the figure's staff which is a nice touch.

The Polish flags include one generic flag and distinctive flags for the 13th, 1st of the 14th and 17th Regiments. The flags are available 15mm Flags come in packs of six and eight. The eight flag packs are $3.29 and the six flag packs are $2.79. The 25mm flags come four to the pack for $3.49. From SIGNIFER 3419 Westminster Ste. 243, Dallas, Tx. 75205 or by phone 214-821-7746.
