The Reviewing Stand
by Dick Bryant
A new manufacturer, with very finely detailled pieces. The sample is a row house from Essling. Scenic Effects are offering the complete villages of Aspern and Essling as they appeared in 1809, with damaged versions of the buildings also being available. They also make a set of flexible dirt and cobblestone roads that remind one of the pieces introduced by Flex-Terrain two years ago. The items are all very nicely detailed if a bit pricey - a 22 piece road set goes for $99 and the complete villages run $150+. By the end of 1994, they will have sets for Borodino, Berisina, Smolensk, and Gettysburg. Good Stuff! More Reviews
