Old Glory

15mm and 25mm Napoleonics

by Jim Birdseye

These are just about the best French line and elites I have yet to see. They come in campaign and dress uniforms and each set has about 55 different poses including wounded and dead figures. These 15s are very animated, anatomically correct and finely cast. They match up well with most of the larger 15mm figures. The campaign dress set can be used for a large number of the German states, the North Italians and other armies. Currently available are line fusiliers, elites and command marching and advancing in either campaign or dress uniforms. Russ is changing the price but these figures will still be less than $.25 each. OLD GLORY sells them in bags of one hundred (all elites or line or command). Soldier World USA is packaging thern in sets of 36 to 48 figures mixed elites, command and line. I strongly recommend that those of you gaming in 15mm Napoleonics pick up a set. These are great figures! I hope Russ is working on cavalry, artillery, and other nationalities.

The 25mm line offers excellent figures that have numerous poses, detached heads and excellent anatomy and animation. They are sold by the figure at $1.00 each or in sets for around $.72 each. The casting is well done and each set includes 35 to 40 different poses with casualties and command included. These are large 25mm figures. For those of you using 25mm Napoleonics or interested in some outstanding figures for dioramas, I can recommend these excellent figures without hesitation. Hopefully other arms and nationalities will follow. Note, the people at OLD GLORY are proud of the fact that these figures are designed, manufactured and produced by Americans for Americans. So much for foreign craftsmanship.
