The Courier recently received for review some miniatures painted by an English painting service called Art of War. There were two 25mm Seven Years War musketeers and a 15mm French Napoleonic infantrymen. The 25mm figures were both well painted and included facial features, blacklining of crossbelts and some highlighting and shading. The 15mm figure was superbly done to above average standards and included the above as well as lining of the epaulettes and turnbacks and detailed shading. It was the best of the three figures submitted. The painting service is run by Mr. Neil Mullis and boasts and full time operation employing seven parttime workers which has been serving England for over three years. Mr. Mullis will cater to almost any scale or period. The company also provides tailor made/ready painted armies upon request. His prices for 25mm foot are 1.85 pounds and 1.05 pounds for 15mm foot. 1.50 pounds will bring you a sample figure and a nicely printed brochure which outlines the service and includes comments from satisfied customers. If the samples received are an indication of the quality of the work, I do not think you will be disappointed. Contact Mr. Mullis at 5 Gilson Way, Kingshurst, Birmingham, England B37 613G. Telephone is 021 770-3045. Reviewing Stand
