Review by Dick Bryant
Larry Brom has come out with a scenario book for his classical rules. The major innovation here is that the scenarios are sold by subscription! You get 4 scenario packets per year, each packet consisting of 6 platested scenarios. The packet has two beautiful 3-D maps per scenario (one for each side) and 2 sceanrio sheets which are different for each side. The sceanrio sheets gives you the situation and objective for your force in the scenario as well as any special rule modification for TSATF or for The Sword in Africa Rules that may be required. In addition, the subscriber will get at least one TSATF variant per quarter. Finally, various information on terrain making, thoughts on wargaming and comments from the designer will be presented. This is essentially a sceanrio driven quarterly Colonial Wargaming Magazine. The subscription for the 24 scenarios is $39 and well worth it.
