Review by Bill Rutherford
This free four-page folder is handed out by ODGW to anybody who cannot outrun them, at conventions, or alternatively, downloadable from their website… It’s basically a “lite“ version of their basic armor rules and is a simple introduction to armor gaming for new gamers. Mechanics, as you would expect, are simplified to the point where the referee can explain the rules in about 5 minutes without ever referring to the folder. Tanks are the only creatures used in these rules; 20 WW II vehicles’ stats are given, though conversion rules are provided if one should want to use a tank appearing in Mein Panzer that doesn’t appear in Mein Panzer Junior. There is, of course, an obligatory plug for the full rules, but that’s OK. I very much like the idea that there’s a free set of simple, playable, WW II armor rules written specifically to introduce the complete neophyte to gaming! Available for free from your local game shop or, failing that, directly from Old Dominion Gameworks, at PO Box 1456, Winchester, VA 22604-7956. Check out their website at www.odgw.com to download a copy Recommended!
