WWII Crusader II With Skirts

Review by Mike Reese

This is one of the April 2000 new releases. It comes with 9 pieces, one of which is a commander figure. There was little flash and the fit of the pieces was good. I cut the commander in half, just below his belt, to fit him in the turret hatch. The turret hatch can be modeled open or closed. I also put on the optional fuel tank on the rear of the hull. A clean model with good detail. The Crusader II mounted the 2 pdr gun with a coax light machine gun. The Crusader II differed from the Crusader I mainly in the elimination of the MG turret on the hull front, and slightly thicker armor. It was used from June 1941 to May 1943 in North Africa by the British.
