Review by Dick Bryant
This special set provides 12 cadets, a pair of officers and command group as well as a 12# gun and crew and a wounded figure and helper, all for $47.50. These figures measure 25H on the Barrett scale and are wonderfully animated as are all of Redoubt’s figures. The cadets are marching at the double and a special set of heads are provided to show the younger faces. The arm carrying the rifle is separate so that various poses can be set. I love the idea of making each figure stand a small diorama - something I first saw Paul Koch (On To Richmond) do - these figures are just what is needed to accomplish this. Redoubt has an extensive line of ACW figures that allow one to populate the wargame table with many interesting vignettes such as their engineers building bridges or their ACW camps or the Marine raiding party complete with boat and naval crew. Available from Miniature Service Center, 1525 Bridge St. #163; Yuba City CA 95993. (530)- 673-5169. Highly recommended.
