Gamer Figure Card

The Scale Card, PO Box 1078, Highland CA 92346 has sent in for review a plastic card that contains images of humans in 6mm, 15mm, 22mm, and 25mm scale. Sample distances are also shown in each scale. The concept (and I'm paraphrasing their description) is that an individual can carry the card in their wallet while out on the prowl at swap meets, garage sales, specialty stores, etc. If you find some item that appears to fit your scale you can use this card to be sure it flts in scale.

Unfortunately when I measure the scale images against figures in my collection, the comparison doesn't hold up - most likely because the images on the card are much thinner than the equivalent figure. Of course it could be showing that our figures are not scaled properly as well. But as a practical case it should indicate figures as they really are. Especially at a cost of $3.95! I might buy this for $.75 but would probably just Xerox a figure and paste the image on cardstock for such comparisons--the 2-3% scale reduction in the Xerox process wouldn't make much of a difference. - DICK BRYANT
