The figures for review included a Mymmidon advancing, a Trojan two-horse chariot with two crew and an Amazon (Scythian) horsewomen. Other figures available include Mycenaean speammen, archers and javelin men, the later with figure eight shields. there is also a Mycemaean two-horse chariot with crew. Infantry comes six to a pack and cavalry two to a pack. the figures are 25L, Barrett Scale. They are very nicely done and well proportioned. Heads, shields and weapons are cast separately. This provides for plenty of conversions. They have little flash and are cast in a lead alloy to facilitate conversions and bending. The separate pieces are also manufactured to fit well together. The Myrmidon was included with a nicely horned and crested helmet and is advancing in a convincing pose. He is armored. The Amazon horsewomen is lightly armored and has an interesting crested helmet with a male aventail. She comes with a Pelta shield to be attached to the arm, a separate bow case, a separately cast bow and hand to be inserted into a hole in the wrist, and a light ax. The galloping horse is nicely proportioned as well. The chariot comes in 8 pieces and requires some assembly. The horses again are galloping with crested plumes; nicely done. One of the crew- men is armored. The other, presumably the driver, is not. There is a large shield for the warrior. This is a well-made range and the separate heads, weapons and shields will provide for a variety of conversions. They are available from Bull Dancer Miniatures, 4132 Twelfth Avenue South, Minneapolis MN 55407-3242. Cavalry are $5.95 a pack, infantry range from $6.oo to $7.95 a pack, and chariots from $7.95 to $8.95 - JOHN BOEHM * The Courier uses the Tobey Barrett Measurement [BM] System to simplify comparison of figure sizes. The number is the height in millimeters from the bottom of the figure's foot (top of base) to its eyes. The letter refers to the "heft" of the figure: L=light, M=medium, and H=heavy. Thus, Hs will fit in with other Hs and some Ms, but not Ls.
