I've just received a bag of 20 different figures, Haitians Set # 1, all firing or advancing, from POTNs Banana Wars range. They measure about 23M Barrett Detailing is simple - these figures were meant to be painted and played with, but effective. The faces were nicely done, though I had problems with a few of the facial expressions, which were a bit on the heavy side. The straw hats worn by several of the figures were quite nice. Equipment was limited to ammo belts and the occasional bedroll. The bolt action rifles were restrained in heft - good! Posing was conservative -- standing or kneeling firing, or advancing -- and body proportions looked good. These are neither the most detailed, nor the most elegant figures I've seen, but at $25.00 for 20, and considering their ease of painting, I think they'll serve well in any turn-of-the-century Caribbean adventures. The number is the height in millimeters from the bottom of the figure's foot (top of base) to its eyes. The letter refers to the "heft" of the figure: L=light, M=medium, and H=heavy. Thus, Hs will fit in with other Hs and some Ms, but not Ls.
