This pack, GC4, includes three early war mounted Germans, one with an MG34 LMG and two with rifles. They measure 20M Barret (shoesole to eye), as far as I can tell (mounted figures are always tricky to measure) and are extensively detailed. The riders are posed similarly, but each has his own character. The horses, too, are especially nice because though they're standing in essentially the same pose, each has specific details such as the position of one leg, the way its saddle blanket sits, etc., that sets it apart from its fellows. Weapon details were particularly well done, with the special holster for the MG34 being quite distinctive. These figures don't share the characteristic SHQ slouch - no doubt because they're riding, not walking - but look convincing all the same. SHQ makes several other mounted German sets including officers, NCOs, and mounted infantry.

As with other SHQ releases, these are good enough to make their way into dioramas and not merely to the game table.
