Peter Pig
15mm Spanish Civil War Command

Figures

Reviewed by Bill Rutherford

Peter Pig's figure range is quite wide, including a number of Spanish CivilWar types, as well as a large number of WW II troops. The illustrated figure pack (number 13-28) contains two command sets of three figures each. The figures were 13.5M Barret from shoe sole to eyeball, though various others in the ranges are a bit bigger. Detailing is nice - you can see things but they're not too exaggerated. Poses are convincing with good animation, not taken to extreme. Figure proportions are sometimes suspect (this seems endemic to the scale) but the overall effect is convincing.

Buy over-the-counter if you're able, so you can look at specific packs before buying. Peter Pig's WW II range includes a number of unique packs including such oddities as Brits Having a Brew (8-151), Germans Having Lunch (8-116), and Russian Scouts (8-88). Peter Pig's figures are the most expensive on the market, running about $3.10 per pack of eight (or about $.39 per figure), but, as with their companion vehicle range, provide the gamer the means to add a lot of character to their 15mm armies. Heartily recommended. Buy them at your FLGS! or from Brookhurst Hobbies.
