By the Old Duffer
Paul Willing for the Musée de L'Armée This is another Museum special, with excellent (and rare) illustrations and lots of photos of the equipment, uniforms and mannequins. The French text is bracingly chauvinistic and not that lengthy so that it would interfere with your use of the book even if you are only an Anglophone. The choice of illustrations is exemplary with much that is very useful. Mostly black and white but with some excellent full colour works. To die for. More Old Duffer's Book Corner (book reviews)
