25mm 7YW Russians

GF has expanded its line of 25mm SYW Russians to include Musketeers and Grenadiers. These figures measure 27M and are very nicely sculpted. They would mix well with GF's sister line, Wargames Foundry, or others such as Old Glory. The facial details on the Grenadiers are particularly well done with big bushy, upturned mustaches. The regular foot are in "attack march" order with guns fully vertical resting on the right shoulder and come in six variations. The officers are either advancing with guns leveled or standing with guns held across the torso. The Musketeers have their capes slung like a blanket roll across the body, something one rarely sees in figures from the period. The detail on the Grenadier's mitre caps is very good and one figure comes sans the cap while a Musketeer has a big eyepatch poking out from underneath his tricorn, all very nice touches. Even better, the review kit came with a conversion figure, a Musketeer holding a rabbit aloft. It's not available for sale but if you ask them real nice they might send you one(You get one free with a large enough purchase ). Both Grenadiers and Musketeers come with standard bearers although only the former has a drummer figure. If you're shopping for SYW Russians, you won't go wrong with these.
