Turks (3000) under Husrev capture and destroy Pasra. 3 July, Off Pasra. Greek fleet lands a relief force (1500) to recapture the recently evacuated town. The Greek fleet (20) proceeds to defeat the Turkish fleet (25) after a five hour battle. 5 July, Marathon. Turks (2000 Janissaries + 1500 Irregulars) engage Greeks (600) who are hard pressed until reinforced by additional troops (1000). The Turks retreat. 8 July, Binitsa. A Turkish probe is blocked by a smaller Greek force. 14 July, Ampliane, Phocis. A massive battle between Turks-Albamians (12,000) under Yusuf and various Greek warlords (3000). The Turks retreated after a nine-hour battle. 3 Aug, Athens. A Turkish cavalry probe (6000 reaches Athens but fails to gain entry to the city. 6 Aug. Near Samos. Greek fleet forces the Turkish invasion fleet to retire. 29 Aug, Cape Gerontas. greek fleet delays the Egyptian invasion fleet. 24 Sept, Near Chios. Greek fleet under Miaoules engage a portion of the Turco-Egyptian fleet. 7 Oct, Parnassus Mtn. Entrenched Greeks (300 + 500) defeat a Turkish (4000) attack. 11 or 13 Nov Off Crete.
