12 Jan, Near Karystos, Euboea. Greek ambush of Turkish force , marching to attck the greek camp, is failing until the main Greek force reinforces them. Greek Expedition is later surrounded

17 Jan, Arkadi, Crete. Greek warlords capture the town's dominant monastery.

23 Jan, Akonia, Crete. Turkish counterattack the Cretan troops but are defeated.

30 Jan, Methone. Turkish naval landing (800) near Neokastro is repelled by Greeks (200) + European Philhellens (50).

10 Feb, Crete. A series of battles over towns between Turks under Cilivotabashi and Greek warlords. The Turks (300 casualties) retreat to their main base after initial successes.

20 Feb, Gulf of Patras. Greeks (27 Hydroit + 20 Spetsiot + 16 Psariot brigs) defeat the Turks..

26 Feb, Chalandritsa, Patras. Greek forces defeat a demoralized Turkish land force.

2 Mae, Gerokomeion, Patras. Greeks (~8,000) under Kolokotrones defeat Turks (12,000) under Mehmet in a series of engagements.

9 Mar, Saravali, Patras. Mehmet rallies his troops and launches a surprise attack on the Greek camp but is repulsed after bitter fighting.

12 Mar, Dobra, Naousa. Turks (4000) attack Greeks (240) at the local monastery and are repelled only after numerous Greek reinforcements arrive.

28 Mar, Rethymno, Crete. Turkish force (3500) are defeated by the Cretans (700).

?? Mar, Zeituni. Ottomans vs Armatoli + Klephat under Odysseus

2 Apr, Hypate, Phthiotis. Turks under Dramali are defeated.

2 Apr, Chios. Turks (15,000) capture the city (3000 defenders) after a bloody assault.

13 Apr, Naousa. Turks capture the city following a heavy bombarment and assault.

?? Apr, Scripu. Ottomans under Vrioni & Mehemet vs Armatoli under Odysseus

16 May, St Donatos, Koungi. Greek Souliots (200) repel Turks (4000) at the monastery.

29 May, Navariko, Souli. Greeks (300) are hard pressed by (2000) Turks until reinforced (500).

10 June, Kompoti, Arta. Greek relief force (560 regulars + 93 Philhellenes + 3400 Suilots + 2 guns) headed for Souli engage Turkish cavalry (500). The Turks retreat after a delaying action.

4 July or 16 July, Peta, Arta. Turks (7000) under Reshid assault the camp of the Greek relief force (see June 10 for composition). The Turks acheive a smashing victory by almost totally destroying the elite Greek formations. Over half of the Greek force are casualties. The poor showing of the regular troops convince most Greeks that Irregular troops can fight better than drilled troops. As a result most Greek units remain irregular throughout the war.

4 July, Splantza. Suilots-Maniots (600) fight the Turks (3000) to a stalemate. Both withdraw.

26 Jul or 6 Aug, Devernaki. Greeks under Kolokotrones defeat Turks (~18,000+) under Dramali who lost 4000+ men. The victory consolidates Greek control in the Peloponnese.

28 July, Agionori. Greeks inflict another defeat on Dramali's demoralized and retreating force.

10 Aug, Aetos. The most seroius of several clashes between Turks (3000) under Kutahi and smaller Greek forces. The ambush tactics of the Greeks inflicted numerous Turkish casualties.

8 Sept, Near Spetses. Greek Naval force cuts the Turkish supply route to several strongholds.

17 Oct or 13 Nov, Gravia. Ottomans under Vrioni & Mehemet (8000) defeat Armatoli under Odysseus and burn Salona.

9 Nov, Near Missolongi. Greek Naval forces (8) defeat the blockading Turkish fleet.

25 Dec or 6 Jan, Missolonghi. Ottoman (2000 Albanians + 8000 Turks) assault the town which is defended by Petrobey (1000) + Maurocordatos (600). the Ottomans are repulsed.
