Yom Kippur

Game: Yom Kippur

Israel: Peter Searle
Egypt: Braden Lynch

Report by: Peter Searle

War Story:

First game: Peter, playing the Israelis, won. The Egyptian attacked at north, center, and southern locations. The Egyptians dispersed their units into small packets and were destroyed by concentrated Israeli armor in the fourth turn.

Second game: Playing the Egyptians again, Braden won. The Egyptians attacked in the center, and consolidated armor occupied the sand dunes in the center of Sinai. The Cairo Reserved activated on Turn 3, and the GHQ Reserve activated as the Israelis were attempting a crossing of the Suez at the Chinese Farm. The armor could not deploy at the Chinese Farm and the Israelis suffered attrition. At Turn 7 the cease-fire came into effect; the Egyptians controlled three victory point hexes and the Israelis only one.
