General Remarks on HomerCon from Dale WoodsIt was great fun. Dean's air game was a blast! I think the chair Dean sat in has an everlasting impression of his rear because Dean never moved off the chair for four days! It was pleasant to meet the ladies of Homer (you know who you are). Lots of Hube's Pocket & Tunisia was played. I saw Chuck and Vernon show what happens when you commit the Union I Corps too far forward in THG. Congrats guys... now go have some grits! I heard the four-player ARS game saw some 300 German loses and over 200 British loses and the night turns were not over yet! Another blood-lettin'! A GD '40 game saw those little French tanks chew up some German infantry in overruns before the Germans sent those little buggers back to Germany to be made into IVs from the scrap metal. The last word from the front was not good. Stonne had fallen and there was wine for all! Fox Hill saw the Marines hold their positions as the little guys were sent back to the rice fields. The playtest of Burma was good. A lot on low-odds attack. This could be a nail biter! So many choices to make. Gazala saw the Germans sweep without fuss: needs some more work. The map looks good. Watch out for the mines! For those who like to fight HomerCon is the place to be! Nothing but good clean fighting in the air and on the land (and sea... but I for one did not want to see the no-name person drown) the whole time you're there. Much better then Origins in my humble opinion. Now if I could just get the blood off my shoes! Thanks for a great time, gang.
