Game: Circus Maximus (and a few other games)Drivers: Dan Cicero, Joe Sylvester, Dean Essig, various other Romans
Report by: Dan Cicero War Stories: Although I started playing games late, I got a lot of gaming done! Dave Powell humiliated me in Turning the Tables, beating me in one turn. I scored my first HomerCon victory ever against Gerry Palmer in Ironbottom Sound II. And I participated in the HomerCon tradition: Circus Maximus. Other gamesOther Remarks: Lessons learned in Circus Maximus: 1) Enjoyment decreases as rules lawyering increases. 2) The guys who talk loudest and provide the most advice have trouble winning the game. High point in Circus Maximus: watching Joe Sylvester make a conscious decision to run down Dean's fleeing chariot driver, even though it lessened his chance for victory.
