By Bruce Rea-Taylor, Tabletop Games, 53 Mansfield Road, Daybrook, Nottingham, England, 42 pgs., $6.00. Battlezones is a scenario book for use with TTG's Challenger modern miniatures rules details are given in terms of Challenger, though other rule sets can easily be used. Nine historical and eight hypothetical scenarios are included; each is annotated with orders of battle, game maps, deployment notes, and extensive'special situation' notes. All of the historical scenarios take place in the Middle East (something about there not being any major continental European wars during the period covered by the rules ... ), while all of the fictional scenarios take place in Europe. A page of notes on competition games is included, which I liked, as they give a practical outline of how to set up a points game for tournament play. A particularly useful feature of this book isthe template it provides the would-be scenario designer - the scenarios are all done to a standard format that is very usable. Overall, this book is very worthwhile to the modern miniatures gamer, both in the scenarios it presents and the information it provides. More Reviews
