Lyzard's Grin

1/76 scale WWII Heavy Weapons

For those of you who don't know, Richard Houston, aka Lyzard's Grin, produces a range of (at this point) twenty 1/76 scale artillery pieces, AT guns, and mortars. What is remarkable is that with a single exception (remember the old Airfix 1/76 6pdr ATG?), none of these are available from anybody else in this scale! On top of that, they're nicely done - to be sure, the scale is only claimed to be "approximately" 1/76 scale, but the above three samples, when built and painted, were quite convincing next to the appropriate Matchbox and Airfix figures. These models -- and models they are (the German Howitzer has no less than 24 parts) -- should appeal to both the dioramist and the 1/76 scale gamer. Also available, though I've not yet seen them, are a complete range of WWII gun and mortar crews. Prices range from $30 for a mortar to $2.50 for SM36, above. Write to Lyzard's Grin, P.O.
