Magnetic tape has been recognized as one convenient way of storing figures or attaching them to movement trays. One method is to put the tape on the figure base or figure group stand and then store the figures in metal drawers. They can also be moved about on metal movement trays (this works well with skirmish figures ala Sword and Flame). Another method is to mount figures on metal washers which can then be stored in wooden or plastic drawers which have been lined with magnetic tape. The problem up to now has been a relatively inexpensive source... the price for the tape in stationery stores being on the order of $1 per lineal foot. I have found two sources: 1. ABCO Visual, 285 Newbury St., Boston, MA, Atten: Dan Wagner, sells 50 ft. rolls of 1/2" and 3/4" tape. The 1/2", (P220) sells for $19.50 per roll and the 3/4" (P230) sells for $29.50 per Soft, roll. Add 10% for postage and handling. 2. Bob Beattie sells a similar material except that it comes in 1 foot square pieces and is much thinner. In reality it is a much better choice for lining a drawer or movement tray. All this material cuts easily with shears or a paper cutter. Bob's 1 ft. sq. pieces sell for $5.50 ea. including postage.
