Battlefront WWII

Late War Card Supplement

Review By Bill Rutherford

Fire and Fury Games

This is a set of 107 new unit data cards for Battlefront WW II, done to the same standards as those included with the original game, that is, full color glossy fronts with decent photo artwork, but with one exception - they’re printed one-sided, with plain white backs. What do you get? 60 British tanks, but remember that this is a Late War supplement - no 2 pdrs or A13s here - you do get almost everything the British fielded after D-Day, though, including several Cromwell and Churchill variants, two (???) Tetrarch types, various APCs, prime movers, recce vehicles, and even the Comet and Challenger. There are also nine new US cards, 17 Soviet cards, and 21 new German cards, all from the latter part of the war. All of the cards were well chosen, i.e., I didn’t find myself scratching my head and asking myself “Why did they pick THIS one?” Well, OK - I wondered about the two Crusader Skinks but that’s because I don’t like British AA tanks…

The selection is good, though! This supplement costs $18.00 (or you can buy a copy of both the full game and the late war supplement for $45.00) and should be available from your local game shop. If you can’t find it there, contact Fire and Fury Games at P.O. Box 360, Burtonsville, MD 20866, or visit them at their website at http://www.fireandfury.com. If you like Battlefront WW II you will want these cards!
