review by Dick Bryant
Blair Stobaugh has put together a well presented video tape to introduce beginners to the hobby of wargaming. The hour long presentation adroitly combines footage of American Civil War renacters and a miniature table top battle to introduce the concepts of Historical Miniature gaming. A set of rules (one page) are even included, The tape could use a little more editing as there are several repeats of the same idea by the various commentators, but the concept is exciting. This is just what HMGS should be doing with video tapes. A slightly different slant is needed to interest the non-gamer but this is a very presentable effort. I applaud it and recommend it to any dub trying to raise recruits; run it on closed circuit TV in the local hobby store or library or school and stand back. $24.95 from JMB Marketing, 770 Roswell Place, Suite 1-400, Roswell GA 30076 More Reviews
