Jan 3 : Hood's Point/James River, VA. A Loyalist/British expedition under B. Arnold lands against token opposition.
Jan 5-7: Richmond, VA. Arnold's (American Legion-40; Loyal American Rgt- 140; Guides & Pioneers-60; Queen's Rangers- 400) expedition skirmishes and bums some buildings.
Jan 8: Charles City Courthouse, VA. Lt Col J Simcoes (Queen's Rangers) scouting force routs a Patriot militia force.
Jan 17: Cowpens, SC. Hard fought battle between Patriots (1000) under Gen D Morgan and Loyalist/British (1100) under Tarleton (British Legion 300 cav/mtd inf + 200 ft). The Patriots rout the British.
Jan 22: Morrisania, NY. Patriot regulars drive off the Loyalist garrison and bum military stores.
Jan 24: Georgetown, SC. Skirmishes between the Loyalist and Patriots under Marion & H Lee.

Feb 1 Cowan's Ford/Catawba River, NC. Patriot rearguard routed.(British Legion 174)
Feb 1 Torrence's/Tarrant's Tavern, NC. Tarleton's British Legion (174) routs a Patriot force.
Feb 6: Shallow Ford, NC. Skirmishes between various scouting parties.
Feb 12 : Bruce's Crossroads, NC. Skirmishes between the British advance guard and elements of Lee's Legion.
Feb 25 : Haw River, NC. Col J Pyle NC Loyalist force (150-400?) is defeated by Lee's Legion.
Feb 27: Wright's Bluff, SC. Skirmishes between local Loyalists and patriots.

Mar 2: Clapp's Mill, NC. Skirmish between Lee's Legion and Tarleton's British Legion (174).
Mar 6: Wiboo Swamp, SC. Marion's raiders rout a Loyalist patrol.
Mar 6: Wetzell's Mill, NC. Patriots assault a British/Loyalist outpost (British Legion 174)
Mar 15: Guilford Courthouse, NC. The outnumbered British/Loyalist force (2000) (Br Leg 174; NC Loyalist Rgt-130) under Cornwallis defeat a Patriot force (4300) of militia and regulars under Gen Greene.
Mar 21 : Beattie's Mill, SC. Col E Clarke Patriot force destroys a British/Loyalist (60) foraging party under Maj Dunlap.

Apr 1: Wiggins' Hill, GA. Col T Browne's King's Rangers drive a surprise patriot attack.
Apr 7: Four Holes, SC. Patriot force under Col Harden capture a Loyalist company (26).
Apr 12: Ft Balfour, SC. Col Harden's force assaults and captures the Loyalist fort (redoubt).
Apr 15-23 : Ft Watson siege, SC. Marion's raiders and Lee's Legion capture the fort by building a siege tower to fire into it. Garrison inc 1 co. of 1st Bn Delancey NY Vol (40); SC militia (80).
Apr 16- Jun 5: Siege of Augusta, GA. Loyalist Col T Brown's garrison held out against overwelming odds until the Patriots were reinforced by Marion and Lee's Legion. On June 5 the Patriots assaulted and captured the outer fortifications. (Florida Rangers-100, Wright's GA Loylist- 250

May 11 : Orangeburg, SC. British/Tory garrison surrenders to forces under Marion and Lee.
May 12: Fort Motte, SC. British/Tory garrison (inc 1st (40) & 2nd (100) Delancey's NY Rgt; SC militia-80) urrenders to forces under Marion and Lee.
May 14: Croton River, NY. Loyalist raiders surprise and rout a patriot outpost.
May 14: Nelson's Ferry, SC. Skirmishes as part of the siege of Augusta
May 21 Silver Bluff, SC. Skirmishes as part of the siege of Augusta.
May 21 Ft Galphin/Dreadnought, GA. A Loyalist supply point is captured by Lee's Legion
May 22- Jun 19: Siege of Ninety-Six, SC. A Loyalist garrison (550) (2nd or 3rd? Bn Delancey NY Rgt-150; Skinner's NJ Vol-200; DeVaux SC Loyal militia-200) under Col Cruger is besieged by Patriots (1000 regulars + militia) under Gen Greene but hold out.
May 23-24: Ft Grierson, GA. A successful Patriot assault as part of the siege of Augusta.

Jun 4: Charlottesville, VA. Tarleton's British Legion raid the area.
Jun 4-5: Point of Fork, VA. Simcoes' Quenn's Rangers destroy a major Patriot supply depot.
Jun 26: Spencer's Tavern, VA. A bitter engagement between Simcoes Queen's Rangers (360 + 1 x 3pdr) and LaFayette's Continental Light Corps.
Jun 26: Rahway Meadows, NJ. A Patriot patrol (40) is ambushed by Lt Hutchinson's force.
Jun 30; Currytown, NY. Loyalist and Iroquois under Doxtader bum the settlement.

Jul 6 ; Green Spring/ Jamestown Ford, VA. The British (7000) (Br Leg 100 cav + 107 ft; Queen's Rangers- 360) under Cornwallis ambushes a Patriot force (900) of regulars ynder Gen Wayne.
Jul 10 : Sharon Springs Swamp, NY. Loyalist and Iroquois under Doxtader are routed.

Aug 6: Shell's Bush, NY. Patriots defend a blockhouse against a Loyalist/Iroquois force (60) under Donald McDonald.
Aug 13 : Parker's Ferry, SC. Marion's raiders ambush a British Dragoon force (200)
Aug 22: Wawarsing, NY. A Loyalist force is defeated by a militia force.
Aug 25: Big Miami River, Indiana. A Loyalist/Iroquois force (100) under Brant rout a Patriot force of Pennsylvanian militia (100) under Lochry.

Sept 6: New London, Conn. A Loyalist raiding force under Arnold burns part of the town
Sept 6: Groton Heights/ Ft Griswold, Conn. Arnold's force assaults and captures the fort.
Sept 7: Fort Plain, NY. A Patriot force is ambushed by a Loyalist/Iroquois force.
Sept 8: Eutaw Springs, SC. A very intense battle with over 30% casualties suffered by each side. The British/Loyalist force (1800) (1st Bn Delancey NY Rgt-73; NY VOL47; Skinner's NJ Vol-66; Provential Lgt Inf-108) under Col A Stewart repulsed the Patriot (2000) attack.
Sept 12: Hillsboro, NC. Loyalist units (500) under David Fanning and McNeil surprises and captures a Patriot force (200) under NC Gov Burke.
Sept 12: Crane Creek, NC. Fannings force skirmishes Patriot regulars and eludes the pursuit.
Sept 28 -Oct 19: Yorktown Seige. Loyalist Units in garrison include British Legion (241); Guides/Pioneers (42); Queen's Rangers (320); NC Loyalist Rgt(139)

Oct 10 : Treadwell's Neck, NY. Patriot (150) forces capture the Loyalist Fort Slongo
Oct 16: Monck's Corner, SC. Patriots attack a Loyalist (100) outpost
Oct 25: Johnstown, NY. Ross's Loyalist (Butler's Rangers) and Iroquois skirmish local militia.
Oct 30: Jerseyfield, NY. Ross's force is defeated by a patriot force under Cot Willett.

Nov 7: Cloud's Creek SC. W. Cunningham's Loyalist (300) rout a Patriot company (40).
Nov 9: Hayes' Station, SC. W. Cunningham's Loyalist (300) rout a Patriot force under Cot Hayes after a heated engagement.
Nov 27 . Fair Lawn, SC. The fortified Loyalist outpost is captured by Cot Shelby.

Dec 1 : Dorchester, SC. Skirmishing between Maj Doyles British/Loyalist force and Patriots.
Dec 29: Dorchester, SC. Maj Coffin force skirmishes with Lee's Legion.
