Jan 20: Johnstown New York (near Albany). Sir John Johnson and 700 Loyalists surrender to a force of 3000 New York militia under Gen Schuyler

Feb 27: Moore's Creek Bridge, NC. 1800 Scotish Loyalist,some armed only with swords, (Campbell's Broadsword Co- 80; NC Highland Vol. 400; NC Highland Militia-600; Regulators- 300 ) under Donald McDonald were defeated by I 100 NC Patriots under Col Caswell.

Mar 7: Hutchinson's Island, Georgia. Loyalist under Gov Wright are defeated and flee the area

May 6: Plains of Abraham, Quebec, A force of 900 British and Canadian Loyalists rout the Patriot force of 250 men

Jun 8: Trois Rivers, Canada. A force of 6000 British including some canadians and New York Loyalists defeat a Patriot force of 2000 men
Jun 16: Chambly Canada. British vanguard including Iroquois and Loyalist contact the Patriot rearguard under Arnold.
Jun 24: Isle aux Noix, Canada. British vanguard probes and almost overruns the Patriot position
Jun 26: Cherokee Towns ?, South Carolina. Patriot forces (SC Rangers) under Cpt J. McCall skirmished with Cherokee warriors who captured McCall.

Jul 8-10: Gwynn (Gwyn's) Island, Chesapeake Bay. Patriot forces capture the base of operations of Lord Dunmore who eventually withdraws to New York with his Loyalist units (L.D. Ethiopians-200; Queen's Own Loyal Virginians-150)
Jul 15: Rayborn Creek (aka Lyndley's Fort) South Carolina. Indians , Cherokee or Creek skirmished with South Carolina militia.
Jul 16 St George's Island Maryland. Lord Dunmore attempts to establish a new base along the Potomac River. His Loyalist forces are driven off by local militia as they attempt to land here.
Jul 23 : Occoquan Creek, Virginia. Lord Dunmore's Loyalist troops raid and bum Patriot farms in the area. Departed when confronted by a local militia force.
Jul 29: Invasion of Cherokee Territory. Patriot forces from several colonies invade Cherokee land. Several towns are burned as the Cherokee withdraw and use ambush tactics rather than trying to defend each town.

Aug 1: Essenecca Town, SC. Cherokee rearguard attacked a SC force.
Aug 8: Oconore, South Carolina. Cherokee skirmish Patriot forces.
Aug 11: Tomassy, South Carolina. Cherokee skirmish Patriot forces.

Oct 14: Crown Point, New York. Carleton's British vanguard including Loyalist and Iroquois troops skirmish an drive a Patriot force under Arnold.
Oct 22: Mamaroneck, New York. Lengthy skirmish between the Queen's Rangers and Patriot troops under Haslet.

Dec 7: Tappan, New York. Loyalist troops raid the town. First of many "Neutral Ground" raids.
