(Digby Smith for Greenhill) Like the quick-drying varnish this book does just what it says. It is a massive collection of orders of battle for everything from small clashes through to Leipzig. Its OBs may be wrong if one were to mount a long period of research, but at least you have a collection of them, and the sources are listed. It also has another use in that it gives a remarkably useful vision of the pace of warfare in the period. The title does short-change itself in one department though it runs from 1792 to 1815.
