Franco-Prussian Troops

This company has produced two staff groups all figures different, a three figure group representing a Prussian messenger reporting, with chair and table, and a larger group of Frenchmen commiserating each other "After Sedan" with a visiting Bavarian Cuirassier and a mounted courier of the Guides preparing to depart. Also provided were two new horses with the wolf's tooth trim of the Prussian hussars. Of the latter, it is fair to say that the wolfs tooth lace is given. a lick and A promise, but the two galloping positions are As usual excellent. Bavarian chevauleger and cuirassiers beautiful if unenthusiastic (historically) troop types that formed part of the Bavarian Army of 2 corps and a reserve cavairy division in 1866 and 1870. For animation and detail (except as noted) these figures can't be beat

For a change I will offer a few criticisms of this line, which is one of my favorites in the industry. Apparently there are no mounted standards or musicians - a deficiency which. is being gradually made up for in the infantry. I have confirmed this with importers and collectors. Also, no shoulder arms are provided for the cavairy in most cases even when the cavalry" require them unless the weapon is being held in the trooper's hand. These omissions have to stand out in a super-detailed line.
