review by Pat Condray
Late news! There is a solution to the 1870 artillery problem, at least for 25mm fans. Wargames Foundry, whose superbly detailed and personalized figures have been reviewed previously, have artillery to match. Samples received seem to be for a Krupp4pdr horse gun and a mitrailleuse. Both, especially the latter, may be a bit thin in the barrel, but they are cleanly designed and in the right scale. I guess that the 4pdr is a horse gun because it does not have seats for the gunners - however, that may have been exclusively a feature of the 6pdr. In any case it will serve nicely. We hope teams will be available and that something will come along in 15mm. More Reviews
