review by Todd Fisher
With the growing interest in the Middle Ages more specialized products are being produced. One very nice additionin this category is "The Joust" by Irregular Miniatures selling for $14.00. This set represents a small 11 tournoi a plaise". lt includes two knights at the moment of impact, a nobleman and his lady showing reaction (these figures are seated in chairs on a platform), two squires, a herald, and four observers. Also included are two pavillion tents, two flags and a railing to separate the knights. The casting quality of this set is good and the animation excellent. These figures are also well proportioned. The designer of this piece has shown good attention to historical costuming, with all figures clothed in c.1400 garb. In closing, this set should be a welcome addition to role players, or those withing to recreate a man-on-man tournament. More Reviews
