25mm French Horse Artillery
and Hussars

French Horse Artillery

These are nice figures well proportioned and animated. They are cleanly cast and relatively free of flash. The nicest figure of the lot is the gunner sans shako mopping his brow. (Hot work making hot fire!) The officer is also nicely done directing fire complete with pelisse and busby; the other figures are in Shako. These are 26M BARRETT MEASURE. They are available in packs or as individual figures from the Miniature Service Center, 1525 Bridge St. #163-Yuba City, and Ca. 95993 or call 530-673-5169 for details.

Hussars

Cavalry figures are always difficult to review because the horse and rider are often of different quality, that is not the case here. These are nice figures well proportioned and animated, and they are cleanly cast. All the figures are cast with pelisse and are in Shako. Several have detached arms which will make for a less uniform presentation. These are 25M BM, but these troopers in reality were significantly smaller men than the heavy cavalry just as their mounts were smaller as well. The uniforms, furniture and figures all appear to be accurately portrayed and later period. The horses are well animated and include the horse furniture, which in this case means the officer will only use the officer's mount. The details are very nice and not exaggerated as in some 25mm figures. They are available in packs or as individual figures from the Miniature Service Center, 1525 Bridge St. #163-Yuba City, and Ca. 95993 or call 530-673-5169 for details. Write for a catalog or visit them at a show.
