Just in are a dozen British commandos, 11 paras, and a pair of German sentries. They run about 19M Barrett measure. These troops are extensively detailed, with plenty of character. Weapons and equipment are, as with earlier Brittania releases, precisely defined but thick. A couple of the figures had proportion problems - knees too high up on the legs, etc., but were generally convincing. The commando killing the german sentry was particularly well done, as was the second sentry with the police dog. The Brittania 20mm line collectively has a distinctive heavy style that lends itself well to drybrushing. the figures will fit well with most of the other 20mm metal lines available, though I wouldn't mix them with any plastic WWII 20mm figures you might have, as the plastics are much lighter in heft. If you like the overall style you'll like these. They're available for between $1 and $1.25 a figure, depending on the packaging from your local gameshop or from Elite Miniatures. See their ad in this issue for address. - BILL RUTHERFORD * The Courier uses the Tobey Barrett Measurement [BM] System to simplify comparison of figure sizes. The number is the height in millimeters from the bottom of the figure's foot (top of base) to its eyes. The letter refers to the "heft" of the figure: L=light, M=medium, and H=heavy. Thus, Hs will fit in with other Hs and some Ms, but not Ls.
